We’re Back!

A brand spankin new round of TWG opens Sunday, February 7 @ 2pm.
We have some BRANDED, never-before-distributed prizes to give out.
Some ole greats remain in the show, but for how long?!
Don’t worry, a certain piece about a fantastical milieu where you can remain indefinitely is still in! phew.
In fact, that piece is on the verge of challenging for the title “longest running story in TWG”, rivaling Kung Fu Guys and, naturally, The Dog was Dead.

Okay. The NEW pieces going into the show this week are:
Mask Lady parts 1-3 in which Gracie, who lives in castle, causes trouble all over the globe.
The sincere Graffiti Argument about why there shouldn’t be graffiti.
And…finally…an old classic returns. The Girl Who Ruined Her Sister’s Life.

This is it, people:

your last chance to see That’s Weird, Grandma on a Monday night until Mid-March!!
By THEN the show will be nearly unrecognizable from what it is currently, so you’ll want to make sure to see it.
FYI, a 9 week run of TWG matinees begin Sunday, Feb. 7.

But back to reasons to see tonight’s show-
Well, my mother and two of her sisters are coming to the show, so let’s pack the house so that they go away thinking, “wow, my son/nephew is part of a REALLY popular theater experience!”

But most of all, you should come see the show because we’re putting in a new story called Maxie that’s hilarious and all the other greats are still in as well.
AND special guest Elizabeth Levy will be joining the cast and she’s got some CHOPS!

Guess what?!

I just finished updating all of the story links on the runlist for this evening and, lemme tell ya, you WILL have a great time if you come to the show tonight.

New classics are starting to emerge (e.g. The Kid Who Got Hit by a Rock) and old standbys are as entertaining as ever (e.g. a certain story about an enchanted location where you can dwell for eternity.)

Also, if I may give my own biased opinion, this cast is particularly attractive.

Also, you can play a game as you watch the actors tonight: which one is not a man?

Happy New Year from the Monkeys!!

The show on the 28th was the same show as the one on the 21st. So our director, Oona, has taken this opportunity to put in FOUR new pieces!
They are:

My Happy Remember- Naudia remembers some inspiring advice from her grandfather in this heartwarming song.

Kool Yum- a hip-hop poem about everybody’s favorite artificial beverage!

A Bad Day- not to be confused with the classic cheerleading story that was in the show for over one year, this is about Kevin’s father’s soccer team’s near victory in the finals.

Mystery Glasses- Will the janitor help the girl find the missing glasses?!?!
