Celebration of Authors 2010
Barrel of Monkeys would be lost without our wonderful child authors. Thus, each year we have a Celebration of Authors performance as the school year comes to a close. In the performance, two to three new stories from each school are selected and performed for the authors, their families, and their classmates by upwards of 35 Monkey performers. It is an exciting event that is a culmination of Barrel of Monkeys work through out the school year. It is also a chance to witness some of the most hilarious, entertaining and poignant pieces written by our talented student authors.
As always, Celebration of Authors is a free event, but unlike years past, we will be in a new performance space! Barrel of Monkeys is proud to announce that Celebration of Authors will be held at the Harold Washington Cultural Center at 4701 Martin Luther King Drive at 7pm on Tuesday, June 8.
